Our Own Brand Update
Before we look at other brands in our Brandspotting blog, we thought it only fair to first turn the mirror on our own brand. We just completed our own TrimTag logo update.
WHO: TrimTag Trading Inc.
WHY WE LIKE THIS BRAND: We love our brand, well, because it’s our own. And, we also like it because it summarizes all that we have been up to for the past 20 years. Our business helps your business create the elements that identify your brand, your products and your people. TrimTag creates the trims, labels and packaging that go on apparel, on uniforms, on products. Everything we do is about working with our clients to create branding, trims and trust.
We created our brand logo over a dozen years ago. It was showing its age, but had recognition. We worked with a graphic designer to help us refresh and update our logo. Here is the ‘before’ and ‘after’. We love it because it stays true to our brand’s DNA, yet modernizes and simplifies the look.
We kept our tagline, “Branding. Trims. Trust.” It continues to help tell our story.
IT MADE US THINK: The process of re-designing our own TrimTag logo reinforced to us how important it is to pay attention to all the details like colours, fonts and proportions. Every element matters. White space matters. The companies and brands we work with do the same with their logo.
This exercise in ‘re-branding’ gave us a renewed appreciation and respect for the creativity, design and variety of applications for each brand we work with.
